Florida Federal Credit Union

South Florida Federal Credit Union encourages its members to think outside the box; when it comes to saving money, there’s no better way to get inventive with your personal finances than by opening a certificate of deposit. A termed savings account that certifies yields through a fixed, high-interest APY, CDs are a great way to invest in any money goal, big or small, short- or long-term.

South Florida Federal Credit Union’s 12-month CD requires members to keep their funds securely on deposit for a one-year period of time — and in return — the credit union will raise interest at a consistent, 1.06% annual percentage yield.

South Florida Federal Credit Union 12-Month CD Terms and Conditions

Starting a CD account with South Florida Federal Credit Union begins by becoming a member and making an opening $200 deposit (or more) into your share certificate. For one whole year to the date the CD is opened, funds must remain on deposit, and shouldn’t be withdrawn, in order to maximize the full earning potential of the 1.06% interest rate — an annual yield that remains the same for the duration of the account’s lifespan. Dividends earned are credited and compounded monthly, a high-yield and low-risk way to build a savings, federally insured up to $250, 000 by the National Credit Union Administration.

After the CD reaches maturity, account holders can cash out their funds, or reinvest in a new South Florida Federal Credit Union CD; automatic renewals are also available.

Through the years, with its “Thinking Outside the Box” mindset, South Florida Federal Credit Union changed its name in 2001 as it expanded and welcomed more people into its field of membership; and with this philosophy, according to the credit union’s website, “we will continue to seek the best solutions for providing our valued members with sound financial solutions and convenient account access.”
