Teachers Federal Credit Union

Detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at 4:10 p.m. on June 25 in Amityville.

Police report that two men wearing partial masks entered the Teacher’s Federal Credit Union, located at 355 Broadway, Amityville, at approximately 4:10 p.m. and one unknown male suspect approached a teller and demand cash while displaying a canister of mace. The second suspect remained by the bank entrance during the robbery. After their demands were met, both men fled on foot with the proceeds and were last scene heading north towards Dixon Avenue.

The suspect who approached the teller was described as black, six feet tall, between 180 and 200 pounds, and approximately 40-years-old. He was wearing a blue sweater, white gloves, a dark baseball cap, and a fabric mask over the lower part of his face. The other suspect was described as a black male, thin build, 5’10” tall, wearing a white tee shirt, baseball cap, and also wearing a fabric mask over the lower portion of his face.
